Where did Chester go?!

Alot to update, I haven't posted for sometime because I was in the process of breaking down one computer, while building a new one. I have built a new one now, and it it up and running and very stable! :) A few fun specs old system, 2.4 AMD single core, Ti4200 128megs, 512 Megs RAM and the new system 2.6 Intel Dual Core, 9600GT 512megs, 4 gigs RAM! My old computer was built soon after I graduated high school, I was definatly due for an upgrade :)

I also purchased the new iphone from at&t, dropped off sprint! Orginally my cell service was through Nextel, which later on was bought out by Sprint. Nextel had awsome cell phone coverage, and enjoyed the walkie-talkie. When Sprint took over, everything went down hill. Horrible customers service, dropped calls, and especially horrible phones! My new phone can do SO much more, haven't had any dropped calls (less then a week). Its so fun to download apps and play around on. The technology the phone has is like no other phone I have seen. Go buy one and quit reading haha!

I've also been recently pissed off because my boss hired someone that deserves a royal kick in nuts! And I would pay to stand in that line! When he is on the phone with customers, he is flat out rude to them. So when they call back, its up to the other agents to clean up his work... ME! In 2 days, I have gotten 3 phone calls that could have been easily fixed if he spent time with the customer. UGH! /endrant

Oh, and The Dark Knight is totally awesome! :)

Fishing...

Last night was I went fishing with Cole, it was the first time I went fishing this year. We were after cat-fish, went to Utah Lake... aka scum lake! When we arrived our usual hot spot was already taken, but a few spots down was open. We talked to people fishing near this spot, no one was using it and both parties hadn't any luck after a few hours.

We baited up and casted out, within 3 no more then 5 minutes. Cole had a bite and was reeling it in! A good 10 minutes later, I had a bite on my pole and apparently I didn't tie my swivel right and it busted off. I hurried and fixed it, baited and casted out again. About this time, Cole had another bite and reeled it in. Then I had bite and reeled it in. Wasn't much longer until the people on either side came over to see what we were using. We even gave one guy some bait, when he tossed it had a bite too. The rest of the night we had a few bites but by the time we got to the pole, it was too late.

Cole: 2 - Chet: 1

Hey, atleast I caught a fish for my first time fishing this year! Wahoo!

I know I am a slacker...

I made it back from Cancun, Mexico in one piece and had a wonderful time with the family. Almost every family member made it. I couldn't help but think during the flight, if this plan drops out of the sky our family is doomed. Haha! On a more serious note, during the trip Jason purposed to Jenny on the beach. Welcome to family Jason! I had a blast hanging out with Jamie, we showed that town a thing or two... ALL NIGHT! Before the trip I took classes to be certified in SCUBA. For whatever reason my left foot was swollen (sun burnt too). Made it very difficult to kick, and swim. My uncle made a second dive, and I couldn't make that dive because I was in too much pain. I really wish I could have gone. My foot stayed swollen the entire trip, it made it difficult to keep up with the tour guide. I have no idea of the history behind the buildings I was checking out, but hey I was there!

The food during the trip was ehh... it was alright. It was buffet food, I thought the first night was HORRIBLE. I sampled a little of everything, hoping to go back for seconds and hit the good stuff. After sampling, there was not any good stuff. The second night I was so hungry, I'm not certain if the food was good, or if I was just really hungry. On the resort were a few restaurants, you needed reservations. My uncle made a few and gave one night to Jamie and I. And OMG... the food was AMAZINGLY GOOD! It was over decorated, but I believe it was the best meal I have ever tasted.

No sure what else to talk about during the trip, besides this is getting long enough. I'll post another one soon with some pictures. Good night!

A few random things...

First order of business: NHL:
The NHL needs to be broad casted more on local TV! The first 2 games of the Stanley Cup were not broad casted locally, I could only hope for a game 7. The penguins were blown out of the water first 2 games. They bounced back and won 2 games before Detroit won it all (game 6). It was an exciting series, I was hoping Pens to win it all. During game 5 was a hard hitting match, a Penguin player was hit in the face with the puck, and another went face first into the boards. Not certain how they won that game?! I am looking forward to next season... playoffs are always exciting. GO AVS!!!

Family vacation to Cancun, Mexico in one week and counting. I am so excited to leave I can hardly stand myself. During work, I surf online looking at web cams, pictures, weather. :) A week from today I will be sitting on beach sipping margaritas watching the sunset.

That is pretty much it for now...I guess.

Interesting weekend already...

I visited a few stores today, focused alot on my up coming trip. One thing I wanted to do today was get my hair bleached. On my way home I went to Fantastic Sam's, I usually goto the one in Riverton, but Inkley's had one next door. After waiting, she called me back, as I sat down I told her what I wanted. Just to trim things up, then bleach the tips. We continued making small talk and mixes up the bleach. Before I knew it, she takes this heaping spoonful and slams it on my head, and rubs it all over my entire scalp. I wasn't sure if it could be undone, so I didn't say anything, maybe I should have?! Now, I am a complete blondie!!! Never going to that location again!

Afterward, my buddy (Aaron) calls me up looking for something to do. We went and grabbed a bite then headed to the theaters for "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". The movie was HORRIBLE! The first half was pretty bad, and it got progressively worst. Do not see this movie, it was awful! I knew it would not compare to the originals, they are classic movies. I was expecting it to be half way decent, I want a refund!

SCUBA

When I found out about a family trip to Cancun, Mexico in June 2008, I wanted to be certified with atleast some gear. I called around to many shops hoping to find the best deal. After talking with a few instructors, I learned price is not first priority. I started asking question about the gear, training facilities, instructors experience and such. One shop in Salt Lake really stood out, Dive Addicts. Every year they bring in new updated gear for students to use. The pool was very clean (comparing to other shops I visited). The staffed are very friendly and really go the extra mile, best customer service ever!

After our class room dives in the training pool 4 times, then need to have 2 dives as open water. We went to The Crater, near Heber, Utah. After diving in the pool, I fell in love with the sport. I've never really found a hobby fitting for me. Don't get me wrong, I love photography, fishing, computers...ect, but SCUBA is hitting me as more of a passionate. I really want to learn as much as possible and dive the world. In fact, I am proud to announce I have already taken and finished one technical diving class, NITROX. With many more on my list to complete, much as Rescue, Solo, Night Diving. Unfortantly, those classes will need to wait until after Cancun.

My nieces in review...

I am pleased to announce Brielle graduated pre-school today. The ceremony was filled with the kids singing a number of songs. Afterward the diplomas were handed out to each student.

And last month Azlynn was awarded "Student of the Month" at her elementary school! The girls are very determined and goal-oriented. I am very proud of both of them, GREAT JOB!

Utah Jazz need a new head coach...

Utah Jazz have accomplished everything, except win an NBA championship. Counting this year, Jazz have made 22 appearances in the playoffs dating back to 1984. Only 2 appearances to the NBA finals in 1997 and 1998. Both were lost against the Chicago Bulls in a best of seven series only winning two games.

Jazz defiantly have the talent to beat any team in NBA. The problem starts with the bench, they are not getting enough playing time. Ronnie Price has proved himself, even in the playoffs. He has stepped up and made HUGE plays. Instead of leaving him in the game, he is benched. Price's average time per-game is less then ten minutes. Also, look at Matt Harpring, once a starter averaged over thirty minutes now his average is less then twenty.

If Jazz can rotate more guys more often, it leave more energy from our starting players to play against a tired defense. Its time Jerry Sloan step down from the Jazz, and bring in a coach that is willing to play a rookie in a regular season game. Morris Almond has only played in 9 games for an average of 4 minutes. Allow him to build confidence with his teammates on the floor, if he plays good DO NOT BENCH HIM!
